Northwest Rankin Cougars (Brandon, MS) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Meridian Wildcats (Meridian, MS), 15-0 in a league challenge.

The Cougars now own a 25-0 record. They take the field next when they host Meridian for a 7A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. Northwest Rankin will battle a Wildcats squad coming off a 19-1 league loss to Petal (Petal, MS). The Wildcats record now stands at 11-10.

With the loss, Meridian falls to 11-12 on the campaign. The Wildcats travel to Northwest Rankin (Brandon, MS) to battle the Cougars in a 7A Region 3 challenge on Tuesday, April 16. The Cougars enter the challenge with a record of 23-0. Northwest Rankin won 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Pisgah (Sandhill, MS)
