In Tuesday's non-league contest, the Somerset Christian Cougars (Somerset, KY) softball team held off the visiting Wayne County Cardinals (Monticello, KY), by a margin of 3-2.
With the triumph, Somerset Christian moves its record to 7-4 on the year. The Cougars travel to Danville Christian Academy (Danville, KY) to play the Warriors in a contest on Thursday, April 18. The Warriors come into the contest with a record of 3-6.
In their next game, the Cardinals play the Southwestern Warriors (Somerset, KY) in a District 48 contest, on Monday, April 22. Wayne County will attempt to move on its 3-12 season record.
