West Seneca West Warhawks (West Seneca, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Warhawks now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Frontier for a Section 6 Erie County I challenge on Wednesday, April 17. West Seneca West will battle a Falcons squad coming off a 15-3 league win over Williamsville North (Williamsville, NY). The Falcons record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Starpoint falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Spartans host Williamsville East (East Amherst, NY) to battle the Flames in a Section 6 Erie County II challenge on Monday, April 22. The Flames enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Williamsville East won 14-11 in their recent league challenge against Amherst Central (Amherst, NY)
