The Amity Regional Spartans baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting Branford Hornets to 1 in the Spartans non-league win on Wednesday.
The Spartans now hold a 5-0 record. They take the field next when they host Notre Dame Prep for a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. Amity Regional will play a Lancers team coming off a 10-0 non-league win over St. Joseph (Trumbull, CT). The Lancers record now stands at 6-7.
With the defeat, Branford drops to 6-2 on the year. The Hornets travel to Foran (Milford, CT) to play the Lions in a non-league test on Monday, April 21. The Lions go into the test with a record of 4-2. Foran lost 7-4 in their recent non-league test against Law (Milford, CT)
