In Wednesday's non-league game, the host Maize Eagles baseball team scored a close 3-1 victory over the Andover Central Jaguars.
The Eagles (9-3) will now prepare for their game against Blue Valley West (Stilwell, KS). The Jaguars enter the non-league game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Blue Valley West held off Veritas Christian (Lawrence, KS), 6-3, in a non-league game.
Next, the Jaguars face the Hutchinson Salthawks (Hutchinson, KS) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 17. Andover Central will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Salthawks enter the game with a 7-5 record after their 8-2 league loss to Maize South (Wichita, KS).
