Illinois High School Baseball - Wheeling nips Buffalo Grove

In Wednesday's league game, the host Wheeling Wildcats baseball team scored a close 4-3 win over the Buffalo Grove Bison.

The Wildcats (7-5) will now prepare for their game against Palatine (Palatine, IL). The Pirates go into the non-league game with a 11-3 record. In their last game, Palatine nudged Conant (Hoffman Estates, IL), 9-5, in a league game.

Next, the Bison play the Schaumburg Saxons (Schaumburg, IL) in a non-league game, on Thursday, April 17. Buffalo Grove will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Saxons go into the game with a 5-10 record after their 3-1 league loss to Barrington (Barrington, IL).
