The Normal West Wildcats baseball team scored 8 runs and held the host Champaign Central Maroons to 0 in the Wildcats league win on Wednesday.

The Wildcats now own a 12-5 record. They take the field next when they host Lake Zurich for a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. Normal West will play a Bears team coming off a 9-2 league win over Waukegan (Waukegan, IL). The Bears record now stands at 7-6.

With the defeat, Champaign Central drops to 8-8 on the year. The Maroons host Lincoln (Lincoln, IL) to play the Railsplitters in a non-league test on Thursday, April 17. The Railsplitters go into the test with a record of 5-10. Lincoln lost 12-1 in their recent league test against Springfield (Springfield, IL)
