North Carolina High School Baseball - Perquimans wallops Gates County

April 16, 2025: Gatesville, NC 27938

The Perquimans Pirates baseball team scored 14 runs and held the host Gates County Red Barons to 2 in the Pirates league win on Wednesday.

The Pirates now own a 15-4 record. They take the field next when they host Pasquotank County for a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. Perquimans will play a Panthers team coming off a 8-2 league loss to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC). The Panthers record now stands at 2-11.

With the defeat, Gates County drops to 6-11 on the year. The Red barons travel to Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league test on Saturday, April 19. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 2-12. Northeastern lost 13-3 in their recent league test against Currituck County (Barco, NC)
