The crowd at Wednesday's non-league battle between the James Monroe Yellow Jackets (Fredericksburg, VA) and the host Westmoreland Eagles (Montross, VA), saw James Monroe's baseball team beat Westmoreland by a margin of 22-11.

The Yellow Jackets (4-4) will now prepare for their battle against Courtland (Spotsylvania, VA). The Cougars enter the Battlefield battle with a 5-3 record. In their last battle, Courtland defeated Chancellor (Fredericksburg, VA), 9-2, in a league battle.

Next, the Eagles face the Colonial Beach Drifters (Colonial Beach, VA) in a Northern Neck battle, on Thursday, April 17. Westmoreland will attempt to improve on its 0-6 season record. The Drifters enter the battle with a 4-4 record after their 11-1 league win over Westmoreland (Montross, VA).
