The St. Johns Redwings (St. Johns, MI) baseball trounced the visiting Pewamo-Westphalia Pirates (Pewamo, MI), 15-5 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.
The Redwings now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they host Haslett for a Capital Area - Red challenge on Thursday, April 17. St. Johns will clash with a Vikings team coming off a 9-4 non-league win over Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI). The Vikings record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Pewamo-Westphalia drops to 3-4 on the year. The Pirates travel to Bath (Bath, MI) to clash with the Fighting Bees in a Central Michigan challenge on Thursday, April 17. The Fighting Bees go into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Bath won 5-3 in their recent league challenge against Dansville (Dansville, MI)
