Illinois High School Volleyball - Alton tips Father McGivney Catholic

The Alton Redbirds volleyball team scored 2 points and restricted the host Father McGivney Catholic Griffins to 1 in the Redbirds non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Redbirds now possess a 2-11 record. They play next when they host Belleville West for a Southwestern outing on Tuesday, April 22. Alton will play a Maroons team coming off a 2-0 league loss to Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 6-11.

With the loss, Father McGivney Catholic drops to 7-10 on the campaign. The Griffins travel to Althoff Catholic (Belleville, IL) to play the Crusaders in a Gateway Metro outing on Tuesday, April 22. The Crusaders come into the outing with a record of 15-3. Althoff Catholic won 2-0 in their recent non-league outing against Granite City (Granite City, IL)
