The Merced Bears softball team scored 13 runs and held the visiting Golden Valley Cougars to 2 in the Bears league win on Wednesday.

The Bears now possess a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Atwater for a battle on Thursday, April 17. Merced will confront a Falcons team coming off a 16-7 league win over Los Banos (Los Banos, CA). The Falcons record now stands at 15-5.
