The Newark Wildcats triumphed over the visiting Lancaster Golden Gales softball squad by a count of 16-10 in Wednesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Canal Winchester Indians (Canal Winchester, OH) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, April 23. Newark will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record.

The Golden Gales (1-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Teays Valley (Ashville, OH). The Vikings enter the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record.
