In Wednesday's league contest, the Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA) soccer team edged the visiting Tunstall Trojans (Dry Fork, VA), by a tally of 2-1.
Next, the Comets face the Bassett Bengals (Bassett, VA) in a Piedmont contest, on Thursday, April 17. Halifax County will attempt to advance on its 5-4 season record. The Bengals enter the contest with a 4-4 record after their 5-1 league loss to Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA).
The Trojans (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against George Washington (Danville, VA). The Eagles enter the Piedmont contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, George Washington held off Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA), 1-0, in a league contest.
