The Mackinaw City Comets softball team scored 21 runs and held the visiting Cedarville Trojans to 6 in the Comets non-league win on Wednesday.

The Comets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ellsworth for a Northern Lakes battle on Thursday, April 17. Mackinaw City will encounter a Lancers team coming off a 15-0 non-league win over Central Lake (Central Lake, MI). The Lancers record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Cedarville moves to 0-3 on the season. The Trojans host Brimley (Brimley, MI) to encounter the Bays in a Eastern Upper Peninsula battle on Wednesday, April 23. The Bays come into the battle with a record of 0-0.
