The Eagan Wildcats edged the host Rosemount Irish softball squad by a count of 1-0 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Wildcats meet the Lakeville South Cougars (Lakeville, MN) in a South Suburban Conference challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Eagan will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Cougars enter the challenge with a 1-3 record after their 12-1 league loss to Farmington (Farmington, MN).

The Irish (4-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Shakopee (Shakopee, MN). The Sabers enter the South Suburban Conference challenge with a 2-3 record. In their last challenge, Shakopee was nudged by Minnetonka (Minnetonka, MN), 4-2, in a non-league challenge.
