In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting High Point Wildcats softball team scored a tight 14-13 win over the Sparta Spartans.
The Wildcats (5-2) will now prepare for their match against Sparta (Sparta, NJ). The Spartans come into the non-league match with a 1-4 record. In their last match, Sparta was nipped by Morris Catholic (Denville, NJ), 10-1, in a non-league match.
