The River Dell Golden Hawks overwhelmed the visiting Mahwah Thunderbirds softball squad by a count of 9-2 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Golden Hawks meet the Emerson Cavaliers (Emerson, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 17. River Dell will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Cavaliers go into the challenge with a 4-3 record after their 5-0 league win over Park Ridge (Park Ridge, NJ).

The Thunderbirds (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Northern Highlands (Allendale, NJ). The Highlanders go into the non-league challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Northern Highlands held off Tenafly (Tenafly, NJ), 22-4, in a non-league challenge.
