The Middletown South Eagles softball team scored 8 runs and held the host Monmouth Regional Falcons to 6 in the Eagles non-league win on Wednesday.

The Eagles now possess a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Marlboro for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 17. Middletown South will confront a Mustangs team coming off a 6-4 league win over Colts Neck (Colts Neck, NJ). The Mustangs record now stands at 3-4.

With the loss, Monmouth Regional moves to 4-4 on the season. The Falcons travel to Holmdel (Holmdel, NJ) to confront the Hornets in a Shore - A Central battle on Tuesday, April 22. The Hornets come into the battle with a record of 4-2. Holmdel won 10-6 in their recent non-league battle against Manasquan (Manasquan, NJ)
