Portsmouth Trojans (Portsmouth, OH) supporters left the game thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Rock Hill Redmen (Ironton, OH), 7-6 in a league game.

With the triumph, Portsmouth improves its record to 4-8 on the year. The Trojans travel to South Point (South Point, OH) to face the Pointers in a Ohio Valley game on Thursday, April 17. The Pointers enter the game with a record of 8-3. South Point won 10-0 in their recent league game against Fairland (Proctorville, OH)

The Redmen now hold a 4-7 record. They play next when they travel to Dawson-Bryant for a Ohio Valley game on Friday, April 18. Rock Hill will face a Hornets squad coming off a 11-4 league win over Ironton (Ironton, OH). The Hornets record now stands at 7-3.
