The Rutherford Bulldogs triumphed over the visiting St. Mary Gaels softball squad by a count of 9-1 in Wednesday's league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Ramsey Rams (Ramsey, NJ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, April 17. Rutherford will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record. The Rams enter the challenge with a 4-2 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Ridgewood (Ridgewood, NJ).

The Gaels (4-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Wayne Valley (Wayne, NJ). The Indians enter the non-league challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, Wayne Valley was routed by West Milford (West Milford, NJ), 4-3, in a league challenge.
