The Kelso Hilanders baseball team scored 6 runs and held the visiting Evergreen Plainsmen to 1 in the Hilanders league win on Thursday.
The Hilanders now own a 9-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Mountain View for a 3A Greater St. Helens test on Monday, April 20. Kelso will clash with a Thunder team coming off a 14-5 league win over Heritage (Vancouver, WA). The Thunder record now stands at 9-4.
With the defeat, Evergreen drops to 5-10 on the year. The Plainsmen host Franklin Pierce (Tacoma, WA) to clash with the Cardinals in a non-league test on Friday, April 24. The Cardinals go into the test with a record of 6-4.
