The Menchville Monarchs baseball team scored 16 runs and held the host Warwick Raiders to 0 in the Monarchs league win on Thursday.

The Monarchs now hold a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they host Nandua for a non-league test on Friday, April 17. Menchville will play a Warriors team coming off a 16-0 non-league win over Mathews (Mathews, VA). The Warriors record now stands at 5-3.

With the defeat, Warwick drops to 6-5 on the year. The Raiders travel to Woodside (Newport News, VA) to play the Wolverines in a Peninsula test on Tuesday, April 21. The Wolverines go into the test with a record of 1-5. Woodside lost 9-7 in their recent league test against Kecoughtan (Hampton, VA)
