Ohio High School Softball - Riverside topped by Covington

Covington Buccaneers (Covington, OH) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad thwart the visiting Riverside Pirates (De Graff, OH), 26-7 in a league game.

With the triumph, Covington upgrades its record to 14-2 on the year. The Buccaneers travel to Russia (Russia, OH) to play the Raiders in a non-league game on Friday, April 17. The Raiders enter the game with a record of 5-5. Russia won 8-2 in their recent league game against Houston (Houston, OH)

The Pirates now own a 8-9 record. They play next when they host Benjamin Logan for a non-league game on Saturday, April 18. Riverside will play a Raiders squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Bellefontaine (Bellefontaine, OH). The Raiders record now stands at 6-5.
