The Mapleton Mounties the visiting Crestview Cougars softball squad by a count of 5-3 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Mounties play the Plymouth Big Red (Plymouth, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Monday, April 20. Mapleton will attempt to upgrade on its 12-0 season record. The Big Red enter the challenge with a 1-10 record after their 16-0 non-league loss to Northwestern (West Salem, OH).

The Cougars (4-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Elgin (Marion, OH). The Comets enter the non-league challenge with a 2-4 record. In their last challenge, Elgin by Triad (North Lewisburg, OH), 12-11, in a non-league challenge.
