California High School Softball - El Cerrito knocked off by Northgate

In Monday's non-league contest, the Northgate Broncos (Walnut Creek, CA) softball squad routed the host El Cerrito Gauchos (El Cerrito, CA), by a count of 23-4.

The Broncos now sport a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Benicia for a match on Tuesday, April 18. Northgate will face a Panthers squad coming off a 8-4 league win over Clayton Valley Charter (Concord, CA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-3.

With the loss, El Cerrito moves to 0-4 on the season. The Gauchos host Pinole Valley (Pinole, CA) to face the Spartans in a match on Wednesday, April 19. The Spartans go into the match with a record of 8-3. Pinole Valley lost 15-0 in their recent non-league match against Sonoma Valley (Sonoma, CA)
