Westlake Thunder (Saratoga Springs, UT) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Corner Canyon Chargers (Draper, UT), 16-1 in a league challenge.

The Thunder now own a 6-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lone Peak for a 6A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. Westlake will face a Knights squad coming off a 13-12 league loss to Corner Canyon (Draper, UT). The Knights record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Corner Canyon falls to 1-3 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, UT) to face the Vikings in a 6A Region 4 challenge on Tuesday, April 18. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 13-3. Pleasant Grove won 7-0 in their recent non-league challenge against West Jordan (West Jordan, UT)
