California High School Softball - North Salinas holds off North Monterey County

Spectators at Monday's league match between the North Salinas Vikings (Salinas, CA) and the visiting North Monterey County Condors (Castroville, CA), witnessed North Salinas's softball squad tip North Monterey County by a count of 5-3.

The Vikings now sport a 8-6 record. They play next when they host Notre Dame for a PCAL - Gabilan match on Thursday, April 20. North Salinas will meet a Spirits squad coming off a 1-0 league win over Everett Alvarez (Salinas, CA). The Spirits record now stands at 11-4.

With the loss, North Monterey County moves to 8-6 on the season. The Condors travel to Hollister (Hollister, CA) to meet the Haybalers in a PCAL - Gabilan match on Thursday, April 20. The Haybalers go into the match with a record of 17-2. Hollister won 10-0 in their recent league match against Watsonville (Watsonville, CA)
