Spectators at Monday's non-league match between the Oneonta Redskins (Oneonta, AL) and the visiting Pennington Tigers (Blountsville, AL), witnessed Oneonta's softball squad tip Pennington by a count of 8-7.
The Redskins now sport a 15-8 record. They play next when they travel to Cherokee County for a 4A Area 12 match on Tuesday, April 18. Oneonta will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 4-0 non-league loss to Piedmont (Piedmont, AL). The Warriors record now stands at 17-7.
With the loss, Pennington moves to 0-11 on the season. The Tigers travel to Brewer (Somerville, AL) to meet the Patriots in a non-league match on Friday, April 21. The Patriots go into the match with a record of 21-10.
