The Perry-Lecompton Kaws (Perry, KS) softball nipped the host Sabetha Bluejays (Sabetha, KS), 7-6 in Monday's league bout.

The Kaws (7-5) will now prepare for their bout against Royal Valley (Hoyt, KS). The Panthers go into the Big Seven bout with a 6-6 record. In their last bout, Royal Valley was edged by Jefferson West (Meriden, KS), 3-1, in a non-league bout.

The Bluejays now possess a 4-6 record. They play next when they travel to Holton for a non-league bout on Monday, April 24. Sabetha will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 8-5 league win over Hiawatha (Hiawatha, KS). The Wildcats record now stands at 7-3.
