In Monday's league outing, the host Winfield Generals softball team scored a close 2-0 win over the Scott Skyhawks.
Coming up next, the Generals encounter the Nitro Wildcats (Nitro, WV) in a Cardinal outing, on Wednesday, April 19. Winfield will attempt to improve on its 12-3 season record. The Wildcats enter the outing with a 10-11 record after their 8-4 league loss to Sissonville (Charleston, WV).
The Skyhawks (12-7) will now prepare for their outing against Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Warriors enter the non-league outing with a 11-8 record. In their last outing, Wyoming East tipped WestSide (Clear Fork, WV), 13-0, in a league outing.
