The Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) baseball nipped the visiting East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC), 9-8 in Wednesday's non-league contest.

Coming up next, the Wolverines encounter the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a Mountain Foothills 7 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, April 23.
