Academy of Our Lady Penguins (Marrero, LA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Evangel Christian Academy Eagles (Shreveport, LA), 16-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Penguins now own a 17-12 record. They take the field next when they travel to Archbishop Hannan for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. Academy of Our Lady will battle a Hawks squad coming off a 15-0 non-league win over De La Salle (New Orleans, LA). The Hawks record now stands at 24-6.

With the loss, Evangel Christian Academy falls to 8-24 on the campaign.
