Lawson Lightning (Nashville, TN) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Antioch Bears (Antioch, TN), 17-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Lightning now own a 9-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Maplewood for a 3A District 10 challenge on Thursday, April 18. Lawson will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 20-0 league loss to Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet (Nashville, TN). The Panthers record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Antioch falls to 4-5 on the campaign. The Bears travel to McGavock (Nashville, TN) to battle the Raiders in a 4A District 11 challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Raiders enter the challenge with a record of 10-4. McGavock won 15-0 in their recent league challenge against Cane Ridge (Nashville, TN)
