The Point Pleasant Boro Panthers the visiting Barnegat Bengals softball squad by a count of 5-2 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Panthers (7-1) will now prepare for their battle against Pinelands Regional (Tuckerton, NJ). The Wildcats go into the Shore - B South battle with a 2-4 record. In their last battle, Pinelands Regional nudged Manchester Township (Lakehurst, NJ), 11-7, in a league battle.
The Bengals now sport a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Middle Township for a non-league battle on Saturday, April 20. Barnegat will meet a Panthers squad coming off a 5-1 league win over Atlantic County Institute of Tech (Mays Landing, NJ). The Panthers record now stands at 2-3.
