Rhode Island High School Softball - Barrington knocked off by Ponaganset

In Wednesday's league contest, the Ponaganset Chieftains (North Scituate, RI) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Barrington Eagles (Barrington, RI), by a margin of 16-1.

With the triumph, Ponaganset moves its record to 7-1 on the year. The Chieftains travel to Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI) to play the Patriots in a Division 2 contest on Tuesday, April 23. The Patriots come into the contest with a record of 4-3. Portsmouth won 2-1 in their recent league contest against Lincoln (Lincoln, RI)

In their next game, the Eagles play the Woonsocket Villa Novans (Woonsocket, RI) in a Division 2 contest, on Saturday, April 20. Barrington will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Villa Novans come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 4-2 league loss to Ponaganset (North Scituate, RI).
