Belvidere North Blue Thunder (Belvidere, IL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Belvidere Bucs (Belvidere, IL), 11-5 in a league challenge.

The Blue Thunder now own a 7-6 record. They take the field next when they host Rockford Auburn for a Northern Illinois NIC-9 challenge on Thursday, April 18. Belvidere North will battle a Knights squad coming off a 15-0 league win over Rockford East (Rockford, IL). The Knights record now stands at 4-7.

With the loss, Belvidere moves to 1-15 on the season. The Bucs travel to Jefferson (Rockford, IL) to meet the J-Hawks in a Northern Illinois NIC-9 match on Thursday, April 18. The J-Hawks go into the match with a record of 4-6. Jefferson lost 11-3 in their recent league match against Freeport (Freeport, IL)
