Sherwood Warriors (Sandy Spring, MD) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Bethesda-Chevy Chase Barons (Bethesda, MD), 5-4 in a league challenge.

The Warriors now own a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Poolesville for a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18.

With the loss, Bethesda-Chevy Chase falls to 4-3 on the campaign. The Barons travel to Northwest (Germantown, MD) to battle the Jaguars in a Montgomery County 4A - West challenge on Friday, April 19. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 7-0.
