Sherburne-Earlville Marauders (Sherburne, NY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Canastota Red Raiders (Canastota, NY), 5-2 in a league challenge.
The Marauders now own a 4-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Waterville for a non-league challenge on Monday, April 29.
With the loss, Canastota falls to 0-5 on the campaign. The Red raiders travel to Little Falls (Little Falls, NY) to battle the Mounties in a Section 3 Center State I challenge on Monday, April 22. The Mounties enter the challenge with a record of 1-3.
