St. Charles Catholic Comets (LaPlace, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Catholic - N.I. Panthers (New Iberia, LA), 14-4 in a non-league challenge.
The Comets now sport a 22-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Pope John Paul II for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 20. St. Charles Catholic will face a Jaguars squad coming off a 17-8 non-league win over Northlake Christian (Covington, LA). The Jaguars record now stands at 18-15.
With the loss, Catholic - N.I. falls to 18-11 on the campaign.
