The Colts Neck Cougars routed the host Howell Rebels softball squad by a final score of 8-1 in Wednesday's league battle.
The Cougars (5-2) will now prepare for their battle against Columbia (Maplewood, NJ). The Cougars go into the non-league battle with a 5-4 record. In their last battle, Columbia was routed by Caldwell (West Caldwell, NJ), 6-3, in a league battle.
The Rebels now possess a 3-5 record. They play next when they host Middletown North for a Shore - A North battle on Friday, April 19. Howell will meet a Lions squad coming off a 5-4 league win over Freehold Township (Freehold, NJ). The Lions record now stands at 5-2.
