With the triumph, Eastside moves its record to 8-0 on the year. The Spartans host Rye Cove (Clinchport, VA) to play the Eagles in a Cumberland contest on Friday, April 19. The Eagles come into the contest with a record of 9-0. Rye Cove won 3-0 in their recent league contest against Twin Springs (Nickelsville, VA)

In their next game, the Rebels play the Rural Retreat Indians (Rural Retreat, VA) in a Hogoheegee contest, on Thursday, April 18. Patrick Henry will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Indians come into the contest with a 4-3 record after their 12-5 league win over Chilhowie (Chilhowie, VA).
