In Wednesday's league contest, the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) softball team held off the visiting First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC), by a margin of 11-10.

With the triumph, Holmes moves its record to 11-7 on the year. The Aces travel to First Flight (Kill Devil Hills, NC) to play the Nighthawks in a Northeastern Coastal 2A/3A contest on Friday, April 19. The Nighthawks come into the contest with a record of 7-3. First Flight lost 11-10 in their recent league contest against Holmes (Edenton, NC)
