Spectators at Wednesday's league match between the Weiser Wolverines (Weiser, ID) and the host Fruitland Grizzlies (Fruitland, ID), witnessed Weiser's softball squad tip Fruitland by a count of 13-7.

The Wolverines now sport a 9-5 record. They play next when they travel to Homedale for a 3A Snake River Valley match on Monday, April 22. Weiser will meet a Trojans squad coming off a 9-4 league win over McCall-Donnelly (McCall, ID). The Trojans record now stands at 10-4.

With the loss, Fruitland moves to 4-13 on the season. The Grizzlies host Nampa Christian (Nampa, ID) to meet the Trojans in a non-league match on Friday, April 19. The Trojans go into the match with a record of 6-7. Nampa Christian lost 8-1 in their recent league match against Melba (Melba, ID)
