The Ludlow Panthers softball team scored 1 runs and limited the host Newport Wildcats to 0 in the Panthers non-league triumph on Wednesday.

With the triumph, Ludlow improves its record to 6-12 on the year. The Panthers travel to Boone County (Florence, KY) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league game on Thursday, April 18. The Rebels come into the game with a record of 1-8. Boone County lost 7-2 in their recent league game against Conner (Hebron, KY)

In their next game, the Wildcats clash with the Highlands Bluebirds (Fort Thomas, KY) in a District 36 game, on Monday, April 22. Newport will attempt to improve on its 0-10 season record. The Bluebirds come into the game with a 10-4 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Bishop Brossart (Alexandria, KY).
