Manchester Greyhounds (Manchester, OH) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington Blue Jays (Ripley, OH), 1-0 in a league challenge.

The Greyhounds now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they host Fayetteville-Perry for a Southern Hills Athletic challenge on Thursday, April 18. Manchester will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 4-0 league win over Whiteoak (Mowrystown, OH). The Rockets record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Ripley-Union-Lewis-Huntington falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Blue jays host Robertson County (Mt. Olivet, KY) to battle the Black Devils in a non-league challenge on Thursday, April 18. The Black Devils enter the challenge with a record of 1-8. Robertson County lost 21-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Bellevue (Bellevue, KY)
