Marquez Gladiators (Huntington Park, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the host Torres Toros (Los Angeles, CA), 18-1 in a league challenge.

The Gladiators now own a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they host Elizabeth for a Southern challenge on Friday, April 19. Marquez will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 24-2 league loss to Maywood CES (Maywood, CA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 0-9.

With the loss, Torres falls to 10-5 on the campaign. The Toros travel to Maywood Academy (Maywood, CA) to face the Nighthawks in a Southern challenge on Friday, April 19. The Nighthawks enter the challenge with a record of 8-9. Maywood Academy won 20-12 in their recent league challenge against Sotomayor (Los Angeles, CA)
