The Watauga Pioneers baseball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Ashe County Huskies to 3 in the Pioneers league win on Thursday.
The Pioneers now own a 10-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Fort Mill for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 22. Watauga will play a Yellow Jackets team coming off a 10-6 league win over Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC). The Yellow Jackets record now stands at 15-4.
With the defeat, Ashe County drops to 9-11 on the year. The Huskies travel to Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, April 22. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 8-10. Patton lost 6-5 in their recent league test against Polk County (Columbus, NC)
