The Lafayette County Cougars baseball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Blevins Hornets to 5 in the Cougars non-league win on Thursday.
The Cougars now own a 2-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bradley for a 1A Region 8 test on Monday, April 21.
With the defeat, Blevins drops to 0-9 on the year. The Hornets travel to Nevada (Rosston, AR) to clash with the Blue Jays in a 1A Region 7 test on Tuesday, April 22. The Blue Jays go into the test with a record of 6-6.
