In Thursday's non-league game, the host Champaign Central Maroons baseball team scored a nice 15-0 victory over the Lincoln Railsplitters.
The Maroons (9-8) will now prepare for their game against Effingham (Effingham, IL). The Hearts enter the non-league game with a 10-5 record. In their last game, Effingham defeated North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL), 12-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Railsplitters face the Lanphier Lions (Springfield, IL) in a Central State Eight game, on Tuesday, April 22. Lincoln will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 0-12 record after their 21-3 non-league loss to Riverton (Riverton, IL).
